2015 Awards Ceremony

​The Awards Ceremony commenced with a welcome by our current school captains, Hannah G. and Perry C.  This was followed by a musical item from the beginners to advanced string instrument students. The Principal, Mr Erbacher and P & C President, Mrs Hall, both addressed the community about the achievements made by the school this year.  This was followed by the presentation of the class conscientious and academic awards (The Conscientious Award is given to the student who has demonstrated consistent effort and always worked to his or her ability in class. The Academic Award is given to the student who has achieved academic excellence in his or her class for the year.)  All recipients' names will be detailed in this week's newsletter.  This was followed by the Sports awards and the Extra Curricular Awards.  After a performance by the school choir and the Year 6 Ukulele class, the High Achievement Awards were presented.

This award was presented to the student who achieved a high standard in Literacy.

This award was presented to the student for outstanding achievement in Numeracy.

TIM  NICHOLL’S CITIZENSHIP AWARD
The student who has done their best to always help others in the Wooloowin School Community:  Olyvia H.

BOB SOMMERVILLE AWARD
The Bob Sommerville Award represents the highest form of achievement attained by a student in year 6. This award is judged on a student’s all round performance, taking into consideration:
- Sporting  achievement
- Academic achievement
- Support for the school
- Leadership qualities
- Ability to relate to peers
- Cooperativeness
- General all-round suitability
The Bob Sommerville Award recipient for 2015 was Jamie D.
