City Cluster Leadership Program Presentation

Early this year, our two school captains, Campbell and Martine, and two vice captains, Sam and Emily, participated in a two day City Cluster Leadership Program. They worked with Mr Hansen and Mrs Skarshewski, as well as two mentors from the Queensland Academy of Creative Industries. Their job was to identify a school improvement project they could work on during the year. During those two days, they decided on a project, justified its authenticity to Mr Hansen and then proceeded to plan its implementation.
The agreed project was to move the position of the sports shed with the result of not only having it more accessible to students, but also improving student behaviour during borrowing and returning times. They were given complete autonomy to implement this project and think of ideas to ensure the project’s success.
They were invited to showcase the projects they have worked on throughout 2014, at the Queensland Academy of Creative Industries (QACI) but due to the storm, presented their project at our school assembly.
